Pictured is a 9 1/2" x 6" Bulls-eye glass auto light. It has a side-mounted slot. Inside the , the glass reads "E & g , No. 30" I cannot see a "Deitz" marker but I am assuming it was manufactured by them as they did most of it during this early part of the 20th century. The condition is rather good; no big dents, the only one I see is the tiny dent on the round face surrounding the lens. the lens has no chips. This type of bulls-eye lantern was also predominantly used on railroads because the lens, just like a lighthouse, magnified the light.
