This item will be shipped without 70% isopropyl alcohol
pictured, for shipping reasons. Usps does not allow rubbing alcohol in first class or priority mail.
Customers will need to add their own 70% isopropyl alcohol solution to the jar when their specimens arrives. If you have questions or concerns, message me and I will be happy to help you. 70% Isopropyl is available at most stores and is very cheap!
Instructions:
-For best results, rinse jar with specimen in it, out with water until the water inside filled up comes out clear, before adding the alcohol. Water may be cloudy from shipment.
- Add 70% isopropyl alcohol to the jar and close lid.
- Use gloves for protection (not provided)
- (If you want to use a different jar/container make sure to use a jar that has a proper sealed lid, preferably one with a plastic/silicone gasket under the cap to keep air from leaking out)
- Make sure the lid is as tight as possible, keep out of direct sunlight, keep away from flame sources, also to note that as time goes on it is normal for the alcohol to become slightly yellow in color, this is natural, you can keep it that way or replace it from time to time, you may need to top of the
alcohol
once in awhile, make sure specimen is always fully submerged in the liquid.
- Also keep in mind it is normal for specimen's color to lighten with time due to the nature of iso.
- Keep in mind that due to some of the snakes dying with their skin sheds still on them, they will flake off pieces or get air bubbles inside certain parts.
