    Description

This is a very early mounting bracket for the typical spot lamp installed upon the firewalls of very early fire apparatus.  This had a Gray & Davis spotlamp originally but would be suitable for almost any of the early fire service spot lamps.  It is very dirty but will clean up very nicely and has the original nickle or chrome plating.  I wanted to clean it but ran out of time.  It is solid and has a spacer inserted into the tube area that can easily be replaced or removed entirely.  It is original and shows no repairs.  Very rare piece and I have seen these used for mounting auxiliary warning lights like the Mars 888 light, and even for mounting a siren at the bumper or firewall.
The holes at the top (the two curved ears) and the two holes at the bottom (the flat across ears) are exactly 5 inches apart horizontally.  The two top holes are exactly 2 7/8-inches apart (above) from the two holes below.
