LUCAS SFT 700S Fog Light Genuine Original Nice Pair Rolls, Jaguar XK120 English

Description

Very nice pair -  large, genuine, original Lucas SFT 700S seven inch diameter fog lamps with bulbs and block front lenses in exceptional condition.  These were optional equipment for the Jaguar XK120 and a number of English cars from the mid to late 1950's.
These lamps were made in England.  They have been reconditioned to include as needed:  interior bulb contacts, collets and bulbs.  They have been tested and are in complete working order, mechanically and electrically.  One spare bulb is included in the sale.
The shells, stems, and collets are in remarkably good condition free from pitting and discoloration. They polish beautifully.  There is some very minor pitting near the bottom of one of the locking rings as shown in the photos.  One stem is marked "955", there is no stamp on the other stem.  There are no cracks in the collets and no corrosion on the threaded mounts.
The block front lenses both indicate "MADE IN ENGLAND" at the bottom and both have the "M1" location of manufacture.  There is no visible pitting or discoloration on either reflector.
All-in-all, this is an exceptionally good pair of original, genuine Lucas SFT fog lamps from the mid 1950's and in complete working order and ready to go.  These are the lamps that were optional equipment on the Jaguar XK120 and a number of other English cars of the period.
If you desire Lucas "Flamethrower" driving lamps for your car, the SFT bodies can accept the block front fog lenses in this listing as well as the SLR driving light lenses.  New flamethrower SLR lenses are available from several sources.
