1940s Bumper Mounted Red Trippe Beam for Police or Fire (B7)

Description

This listing is for a really unique late 1930s to early 1940s Trippe Beam light used for police and fire department vehicles.  The light is just under 7 inches across.  It has a “TRIPPE BEAM C328” embossed on the lens.  It is large and has an attached bumper mount.  I am unsure if it works as the wiring is a bit sketchy.  It is in excellent restorable condition.  The glass lens has no chips or cracks and the fittings are in great shape.  As can be seen the back of the light housing has a small ding from a light-to-fender experience.  I have not disassembled the unit and it is in original condition.  New wiring would be required.  Please look closely at the many photos.  This is an excellent opportunity to get an unusual piece of early first responder gear.
